Yaran-e-Safa
At the end of January 1998, and following the Holy month of Ramadan (1419), a
group of friends who had spent much spiritual time at IMAN when breaking fast,
praying and reciting the Holy Quran together during the pre dawn and
fast-breaking hours, decided, by way of continuing their spiritual bond and
togetherness, to establish a means of regularly gathering, calling it YARAN - E
- SAFA (best translated to mean SERENE FRIENDS or Friends in Bonhomie).
A Charter was written and approved, subjects and programs adopted, a Coordinator
was elected, and the day and times were set to be 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each
month, between 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. or 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. depending on seasonal
times.
